LIVE BOLD Internship
Spend 1 year with us. . . be changed forever
LIVE BOLD
Foundation
In Acts 4, Peter and John are proclaiming the good news, “And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”(v. 12) They are arrested, threatened, and warned but their response is, “Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you rather than to God, you must judge, for we cannot but speak of what we have seen and heard.” (v. 19-20) Peter and John prayed for boldness (v. 29) in the face of threats, spoke the word of God with boldness (v. 31), and others recognized their boldness (v. 13). Others “were astonished. And they recognized that they had been with Jesus.” (v. 13)
Opportunity
We want to raise up a generation that looks like Jesus. We need believers like Peter and John, proclaiming the Way, the Truth and the Life: sharing the love of Jesus. This will take boldness. Living out the Christian faith and proclaiming Christ in our culture in the face of persecution will take boldness. Our intern program is designed for this.
LIFE
We want people to truly live and embrace the abundant life God offers - even in the face of suffering.
INTENTIONAL
We will train our interns on the importance of living intentionally. We will train them to think, plan, prepare, organize, set goals and write a mission statement for their life - all while remaining flexible.
VALUE
We will reinforce their value and the value of others based on being created in the image of God. To grasp their value, brings personal encouragement and peace. Valuing others moves us to treat everyone with love, honor, dignity and respect and keeps us from self-centered living.
ETERNAL
We will reinforce the importance of keeping the "longview" of eternity forefront in all that we do. We want our lives, words and actions to touch eternity. This is done through focus on the gospel and its implications.
